We mourn the recent death of John Robbins

We at Rochester Lifestyle Medicine Institute mourn the loss of John Robbins (1947-2025) who died peacefully in his home a few days ago from complications of post-polio syndrome. 

On a personal note:
John Robbins as he was for so many others, was a major influence in our family’s decision to become vegan in 1991. We learned so much from Diet for a New America, which was published in 1987—just one year after Carol and I were married. When May All Be Fed was published in 1992, it helped us explain our decision to others while, at the same time, reinforcing our commitment to a vegan lifestyle—a decision we and our 3 children have remained faithful to ever since. Thank you John!
