Kingfisher Escapes From Cooper's Hawk

I photographed the Belted Kingfisher (photo 2) and then watched as a Cooper’s Hawk chased it at high speed for about ten seconds. Cooper’s Hawks eat small birds so I’m happy to report that this hunt was not successful. The hawk photo is after the kingfisher’s escape.
